Yan Lugen Visited Pembroke College, Cambridge

  Recently, Yan Lugen, chairmen of Lek Yuen Group and Baijia Lake Group was invited to visit Cambridge University to discuss and communicate with Prof. Chris Young, Dean of the Department of Art, Pembroke College, on the topic of comparison and research between European and American contemporary art and Chinese contemporary art. And accompanied by Prof. Chris Young and his assistant Daisy Ayr, Senior Assistant Director Cudar and others to visit the Cambridge University Museum.

  This visit to Cambridge made Yan Lugen, who had paid close attention to Chinese contemporary art, have a deeper understanding of this. Yan said, "The academic atmosphere here is very good. The behavioral art exhibition of art graduates shows me their different appearances. My experience in Cambridge made me realize the limitations of my previous understanding of art, which drives me to learn more. I was eager to learn more about contemporary art in Europe and China”. He also expressed that if the two sides could reach cooperation someday, they would publish several monographs on the comparison of contemporary art between western and Chinese, provide theoretical teaching materials for Chinese contemporary art teaching and contribute their strength to the development of Chinese contemporary art.
