Yan Lugen Donated Degas’ sculpture "Little Dancing Girl" to Nanjing University of the Arts

　　On May 30th, Yan lugen, chairman of Lek Yuen group and Baijia Lake Group, donated the sculpture to Nanjing University of the Arts. Liu Weidong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of Nanjing University of the Arts, and other people attended the donation ceremony.

Since its establishment, Baijia Lake Group has become one of the best choices for students of Nanjing University of the Arts to find practice and employment. At the same time, professors and lecturers of Nanjing University of the Arts have also provided strong academic support for many exhibitions and publications of Baijia Lake Group. "Many of our exhibitions have gained support from the Nanjing University of the Arts, especially the magazines: Art Investment and Art Weekly, which are affiliated to the group. They often collect contributions from scholars and professors of the Nanjing University of the Arts and also provide opportunities for students to publish their papers", Mr. Yan said. To express his gratitude and support for art and Nanjing University of the Arts, Yan Lugen donated his collection - "Little Dancer", an artwork of French impressionist painter Edgar Degas, to the university. Yan Lugen introduced the creation and collection background of the sculpture and hoped that the two sides could have further cooperation in the future.
